These last two weeks have been crazy! We put in new hardwood floors under our feet (and the feet of our 3 kids.) I’m so thrilled to say it’s done! It’s beautiful and as soon as we get the baseboards back on I’ll try to post some finished pics.So here’s a few more peaks into living in the space while we worked on it.

It seemed right to do something special to make a memory of this big undertaking… and the fact that we did it as a family. We picked out our favorite floorboard together to go in the entryway of the house. Then we put our handprints and names on the back of it. The kids loved the idea and it was so much fun!
it looks great. i like your idea for writing on the bottom of the last board. i wonder if someone will find it someday…
