Once again Pinterest changed my life the other day… in a very small way. But still awesome. I’m probably the last person alive to not know this. Maybe not the last to recognize the potential though. Did you know that dry erase markers are awesome on window/picture glass?
Well I found out when I saw this on Pinterest. I plan to make some for meal planning, freezer meal lists, and a calendar.
But today I had another revelation. I frequently walk by white boards or chalk boards in the store and think about how I should buy one for home schooling but then I think about how I don’t want our dining room to look quite like a school room… So it all came together in my brain today and Drew laughed at me as I started nonchalantly drawing on our big front window this morning to explain present tense verbs. It was awesome. I was awesome. And I wasn’t looking for scraps of paper.
Then I remembered I had window crayons. Doh. Israel colored for a while. Then I remembered why I don’t like window crayons. Greasy residue that takes lots of paper towel and window cleaner to wash off. But the dry erase marker is brilliant. I just used a black cloth to wipe it off. Very easy. We also have window markers but they’ve gone dry. My favorite so far is dry erase markers.
The kids like them too…
Great Idea!
