Throwing Discs

Last Christmas one of our favorite clever gifts were these crocheted discs that my mom found in a fair trade store. They have tons of fun designs and colors.

For my son’s 4 year old birthday this year I decided to try my hand at making some and personalize one for him in his favorite pattern- camouflage. It flew perfectly and make great winter toys for rowdy boy as they are light weight and soft so they can be thrown around indoors without fear of breaking anything. It was an easy and quick project. Here’s how I did it.

I embroidered an “I” for my little guy’s first initial. He loves throwing it around and I love that it doesn’t break everything. By the way, please pretend that you don’t notice my very dirty floor in the above picture. I was busy crocheting. 😉
