In my last post about the baby owl I made to go with my daughter’s crochet owl “mommy.” I was curious to see when exactly I’d made owl mommy. It turns out it was 4 years ago. That must be very old in stuffed animal years. Anyway, she’s been much loved and needed a little makeover for her photo shoot with the new baby owl. All she needed was a little trim. Being made of wool meant that she’d gotten a bit frizzy and had some small matted places. I trimmed those off then rubbed some hand lotion into my hands and gently patted her down all over. This calmed a lot of the remaining frizz and she looks almost as good as new. I love making things that are loved and used for years and that last well.
