I do have an excuse for not posting in a while! Had a baby. 🙂 But here’s a baby related pattern for you. An easy quick one. Good for baby shower gifts, as part of a gift set or to whip up for winter or a baby that scratches their little face. My new little model:
Simple Baby Mitts
patternH size crochet hook, Caron Simply Soft yarn
Cuff
Row 1: ch 6, sc in 2nd chain from the hook and in each of the next 4 chains, ch 1, turn (5 sc total)
Row 2-14: sc in back loop only of each sc, ch 1, turn (5 sc total)
Body
Row 1: Work in the side of cuff: hdc, ch 1, *hdc, hdc, ch 1* repeat between *s x 5, end with a hdc, join with sl st to the first hdc of this row, ch 1,
Row 2: hdc even around, join with sl st, ch 1 (18 hdc total)
Row 3-5: repeat row 2
Row 6: hdc in each of the next 5, hdc2tog, hdc in each of the next 7, hdc2tog, hdc in each of the next 2, join with sl st, ch 1 (16 hdc total)
Row 7: *hdc in each of the next 4, hdc2tog, hdc2tog* repeat between *s x 2, join w sl st, ch 1 (12 hdc total)
Row 8: *hdc in each of the next 4, hdc2tog* repeat between *s x 2, join w sl st (10 hdc total)
Tie: ch 46, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and each ch, weave in ends
Sew up cuff, put ties through the holes at top of cuff and tie.
