A crooked little smile gives a lot of character and my niece has no lack of character. She just had her second birthday, and I used the occasion to have fun sewing her a dainty doll with big hair and a lopsided grin. It was fun to look up some embroidery stitches to use for the dolls face and flower detail since I’ve not done much embroidery before. This doll was made from recycled fabrics. The pattern is available on this older post but I followed a different strategy for sewing the hair on. The tutorial in the link is loaded with pictures and it was pretty easy to follow as I went. It was an incredibly fun project and I’m hoping to make some more dolls soon for my girls and maybe for the store after that.
